GITS has adopted the semester system. Students are required to register
for the subject as described below at each semester.

Project research is only for students enrolled in the Project Research
Course. Students are required, under the research guidance of a supervisor,
to conduct project research on a specified theme and release the outcome
of project research to an academic society, academic journal, etc. Project
research consists of (A), (B), (C) and (D). The students who take (A) and
(B) are required to select a theme and conduct research. The purpose of
(C) and (D) is completion of a master's thesis. Students will be able to
acquire highly advanced and professional knowledge and skill through this.

Practice subjects are designed to enable students to accumulate practical knowledge and experience required for conducting project research. The contents are closely related to each student's topics of project research and taught by his/her supervisor. -- here

Theme research is only for students enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Research
Course and the Career Development Course. Students are required to establish
themes and conduct research under the theme for one semester.
Students enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Research Course are required
to conduct two single-semester research projects both in major and minor
areas and finish the projects in order to acquire a wide range of knowledge
and skill.
Students enrolled in the Career Development Course are required to conduct
one single-semester theme research in a major course in order to enhance
the knowledge and skill in their area of specialization. -- here
