Takashi Kawai graduated from School of Human Sciences, Waseda University in 1993. He received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degree in Human Sciences from Waseda University in 1993, 1995 and 1998, respectively.
He was a Research Associate of School of Human Sciences since 1998, an
Assistant Professor of GITS since 2000 and an Associate Professor of GITS
since 2002. He has been a Professor of GITS since 2008. He is also a Professor
of Department of Inter-medhia Art and Science, School of Fundamental Sciences
and Engineering at Waseda University where he teaches undergraduate students.
He is leading "Ergonomics in Advanced Media" Project in GITS.
His recent research interests are ergonomic evaluation, practical application
and content creation of advanced media technologies, including stereoscopic
displays, virtual reality systems and ubiquitous computing devices.
