Visa Application Procedure for Non-Japanese Applicants Living Overseas
|
Non-Japanese applicants living overseas are required to obtain "College
Student Visa" after having passed the screening and completed the
designated admission procedure. To apply for a "College Student Visa",
applicants must submit their valid passport and the Certificate of Eligibility
to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in their home country. The GITS Admissions
Office submits required documents for the Certificate of Eligibility to
the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Justice on behalf of students
living overseas. Those who wish to apply through the GITS Admissions Office
must send the following documents to the office at the time of admission
procedure. Incomplete documents will not be processed. In the case where
an applicant submits an Application for Certificate of Eligibility by himself/herself
or asks someone else to file the application, he/she is not allowed to
apply through the GITS Admissions Office because the application submitted
twice will be invalidated. Additional documents are sometimes required
by the Immigration Bureau.
* Please kindly understand there may be cases where the Certificate of
Eligibility is not issued in time for the day of enrollment.
